1st Stop: Chicago

We were able to work it out so that we could have a 19 hr. layover in Chicago.

We visited Richard's sister, Annalisa, her husband Greg and our niece Adelaide. It was a blast and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Greg made us German Pancakes for breakfast and they had homemade coconut syrup and real maple syrup to top it off, yum!

We walked to the farmer's market about 2 blocks away.

Buckingham Fountain

We got to sit right up at the front and watch them warm up for a few minutes.

Ballet West, the Joffrey Ballet and the Royal Ballet were all performing for free. I wish we could've seen it!

Special thanks to Annalisa and Greg for the deep dish pizza, the cheese and caramel popcorn and for the whirlwind tour of the city.

Addie didn't want us to go. Apparently on her way home she cried because she didn't give "Reechard" a kiss goodbye.  We tried to attach a video, but it's not working...hopefully we'll get it figured out.  Any tips?

So glad you guys were able to have a short visit in the windy city. Addie already misses you and asks for you!
